The Western (Chongqing) Science City Advanced Data Center, built by Zhongke Shuguang (Sugon) in the Bishan district, is a key “East Data, West Computing” project. It features over 99% domestic hardware localization and uses full-immersion phase-change liquid cooling, achieving an ultra-low energy efficiency PUE of 1.04.
The “east data, west computing” project is a national-level computing power resource allocation project fully launched by China in 2022, aiming to build a new computing power network system featuring the coordinated development of “data centers + cloud computing + big data.” The project optimizes the nationwide layout of data centers and promotes coordinated regional development by orderly guiding the computing power demand from the eastern regions to the western regions. Its core content includes the construction of eight National Computing Power Hub Nodes, including those in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Urban Agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta region, the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Chengdu-Chongqing region, forming a nationwide computing power resource scheduling network.
