The National Memory Base Project is a monumental integrated circuit (IC) flagship facility located in the Optics Valley of China (Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone). With an estimated total investment of up to $30 billion, it is the cornerstone of China’s domestic memory chip industry.
Managed primarily by Yangtze Memory Technologies Co., Ltd. (YMTC), the project primarily focuses on the mass production of 3D-NAND Flash memory chips. It is designed to host massive wafer fabrication plants and represents the largest individual high-tech industrial project in the Hubei province.
Yangtze Memory Technologies is a significant competitor in the global NAND flash memory market, holding approximately 11% of the global market share in 2025, ranking sixth.Calsion has supplied a total of 11 diesel generator sets and 39 dynamic DUPS units to Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp (YMTC).
